Alexandria Clarke was sitting at a CTA bus stop on May 2 in the city’s Edgewater neighborhood when a man grabbed her throat and threatened to kill her if she didn’t follow his orders. The man took Clarke, 22, a Loyola graduate, to a nearby alley, where he sexually assaulted her, Clarke said.
On Sunday, Clarke came forward to the media and told her story in hopes of catching the man and raising awareness. An anonymous donor gave $5,000 on Wednesday, doubling the reward to $10,000, said Renee Touchton, Clarke’s mother.
