Police continue to investigate the apparent homicide of 20-year-old Colin Nutter, of Highland Park, whose body was found in Wilmette on Monday night.
At about 8:30 p.m. on Monday night, a girl walking her dog came across Nutter’s body in the brush on the east side of Frontage Road, south of the intersection of Old Glenview Road and Briar Drive in Wilmette – just east of the Edens Expressway. Forensic specialists were on the scene through the night, said Wilmette Police Chief Brian King, and Nutter was identified on Tuesday morning by fingerprints.
Nutter’s body showed “obvious signs of trauma” and was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office for a scheduled autopsy Wednesday. The Wilmette Police Department is being assisted in the homicide investigation by the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force and the Highland Park Police Department.
