BOSTON — After a nearly week-long search for a burial site, Worcester police say the body of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried.
In a statement released Thursday, the Worcester Police Department says a “courageous and compassionate individual came forward to provide the assistance needed to properly bury the deceased.”
No further information was made available.
The statement went on to thank funeral home owner Peter Stefan and Tsarnaev’s uncle, Rusland Tsarni, for their cooperation.
